Fairmined Jewellery – A Gift to Be Proud Of

This piece of jewellery is made from Fairmined-certified gold. This means that the gold has been responsibly sourced from small-scale local mines owned by cooperatives or small businesses, in this case in western Colombia.

The mining is carried out under safe working conditions, with no forced labour or child labour involved. The miners also live as farmers, and their families grow coffee, cocoa, cassava, corn, and beans. This connection to agriculture is an important part of responsible and sustainable mining.
