The Soap Master from Aleppo

Mohamad Khiro’s journey is one of resilience and dedication. Forced to flee Aleppo, Syria, with his family, he had to leave behind his destroyed soap factory.

Today, in Cologne, Germany, he continues the traditional art of Aleppo soap making at Fair Squared. Each soap is personally mixed, poured, cut and stamped by Mohamad himself.

His craftsmanship, creativity and passion continue a centuries-old tradition — which is why the portrait of “The Soap Master from Aleppo” proudly appears on every soap package.
